The gemstone most people are told to wear comes from their Sun sign — the one printed in a newspaper column. Classical practice does not work that way.
In Vedic astrology the primary reference point is the ascendant, the sign rising on the eastern horizon at the moment of birth. It changes roughly every two hours, so two people born on the same day in the same city can have entirely different recommendations. Getting it right depends on information a birth date alone cannot supply.
That is why we ask for more than a star sign, and why the conversation matters more than the transaction.

Three Levels of Quality
The same gemstone can differ in price by a factor of twenty. We group stones into three honest bands so you know what you are comparing.
An accessible genuine stone
Natural material with visible inclusions and a lighter or less even colour. Treatment is always disclosed. The right choice when a genuine natural gemstone at a workable weight is the priority.

Availability, colour, clarity, origin, treatment and carat weight all move the figure,
and the per-carat rate itself rises as stones get larger. Any estimate shown on this
site is indicative — the final price depends on the individual stone in front of you.

We tell you the species, the origin where known, and every treatment a stone has had — heating, oiling, filling or dyeing. In writing, before purchase, not after.
No pressure to commit

Quality explained plainly
We will tell you when a Standard stone will serve you perfectly well, and when it will not. Talking someone into a grade they do not need is not a business we want.
